Sonoma trip

My wife and i will be taking a much needed vacation up to sonoma over the week of thanksgiving and (of course) we plan on drinking as much stuff as possible. My question to you, three people who actually read my blog and may be able to answer the question, is where are the best wineries doing interesting stuff in Sonoma? We are mainly looking for anyone doing organic/low sulphur natural wines, or messing around with offbeat varietals. We can range all over the area so any suggestions would be great.

  1. I would visit Quivira Winery (http://www.quivirawine.com/) and Pellegrini (www.pellegrinisonoma.com) for sure. If you want to visit someone with good wine and some interesting branding check out Mutt Lynch Winery (http://www.muttlynchwinery.com). Hopefully some of these work work out for you.

  2. Thanks for the quick response. Those definitely sound like they right up our alley. I’m especially interested in trying some biodynamically farmed zins. I’ll make sure to update you on how these go.

  3. Try Wellington Vineyards for unusual varietals, http://www.wellingtonvineyards.com. They are in Glen Ellen. Also visit Benziger Winery, Imagery Winery, Loxton Winery and Bartholomew Park Winery. Enjoy! Sheana D
