Saigneé’s Thursday Guarantee: 2009 Jean Maupertuis “La Guillaume”

Man, isn’t it great to have wines like these to remind of why we drink? Auvergne Gamay grown by the former Peyra winemakers. i’ve been lazy with the blog lately, running around like a chicken with its head cut off, but man this wine gets me back into the spirit. It’s like 75 here in Oakland, the sun is shining on the lake and i’m thinking about La Guillaume (later, i suppose. i still have work to get through.) If you haven’t picked a bottle of this up, do so at the earliest possible convenience (at no point in my life could i spell “convenience” correctly, thank god for spell check). It’ll put a smile on your face. That’s my Thursday Guarantee.
